Despite Planned Protest, Parade Of Lights Marched On

DENVER (CBS4) – Only one protester was arrested during Denver's Parade of Lights Saturday night after police learned some people were planning on blocking the parade route.

A group of people did manage to temporarily block the parade route, but officers say everything was moving along after the short delay.

The event, initially posted on social media, invited protesters to disperse discreetly amongst the crowd and be ready to pop off into action -- and a planned "die-in" that would shut down parade traffic.

There were a couple dozen protesters carrying signs to protest the grand jury's decisions about police action in Ferguson and New York.
