2 Dead In Crash On I-25 Near Johnstown

JOHNSTOWN, Colo. (CBS4) - Two people were killed and two others were injured in a crash on Interstate 25 near Johnstown.

The crash happened Monday night when the driver of an SUV traveling southbound lost control and began rolling over. The vehicle landed in the northbound lanes.

The driver, identified as Devin Gomez, 21, died at the scene. Authorities said he was wearing his seat belt. Passenger Mercedes Parker, 14, of Littleton, wasn't wearing a seat belt and was also killed.

The two passengers who survived have been identified as Aliana Guillory, 14; and Melanie Landrum-Guillory, 42; both of Thornton. Melanie Landrum-Guillory suffered moderate injuries. Aliana Guillory's condition hasn't been released.

No other vehicles were involved.

Portions of the highway were closed while the Colorado State Patrol investigated what happened.

Johnstown is located to the southeast of Loveland.
