COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- An SUV driver lost control on slick roads and crashed into a home in Colorado Springs on Tuesday.

Police said the crash happened about 11 a.m. near the intersection of South Corona and Institute in south Colorado Springs.

Investigators believe the driver was going too fast for conditions.

The driver was rushed to the hospital with minor injuries. Four passengers inside the SUV were not seriously hurt. No one inside the home was hurt.

"So I pulled up, parked, walked up to the door and the car came slamming through and hit the house," said witness Susan Pickett.

The driver will be ticketed for careless driving.
