Alcohol Likely A Factor In Street Racing Crash That Injured 7
DENVER (CBS4) - An investigation into a street racing crash that injured seven people on Federal Boulevard is continuing, and a driver who was possibly involved is still at large.
Initially, investigators with the Colorado State Patrol were under the assumption that the driver was riding a motorcycle, but they now believe that person was speeding down the road on Friday night in a car.

That car was believed to be racing the silver Volvo that was going 90 to 100 mph when it lost control and slammed head-on into a red Nissan at 54th.
Three people in the Volvo were hurt and four people in the Nissan were injured.
Investigators say they suspect the other car in the race fled the scene and has yet to be found.
Investigators also say they suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The Volvo driver has been identified as David Felan, 20.
"All the locals have told us about how bad it was, and that they could hear the cars screeching and screaming up and down the street," said Laurie Davidson, who works nearby.
Charges are expected to be filed against Felan once he is released from the hospital. His criminal history includes a long list of traffic offenses.
