DENVER (CBS4)– A dump truck knocked down a power pole in an alley in Denver Thursday afternoon causing a power outage to about 100 homes.
The Denver Public Works dump truck was involved in alley paving operations near 27th and Milwaukee in the City Park neighborhood when the driver backed into the pole, breaking it in half.
Power lines were strewn across the yards of several homes after several other poles were downed.
There are about 100 homes without power. It could be up to 12 hours to restore power because there were about six other poles affected.
No one was injured.
