DPD Helicopter Lands In Wash Park
DENVER (CBS4) The Denver Police Department's helicopter landed in the middle of one of Denver's most popular parks Saturday night after a bird strike.
Air One, the police department's helicopter, was forced to land in Washington Park after a bird strike after 7 p.m.
Both the helicopter's pilot and navigator were okay and not injured.
Police said it was standard procedure for the pilot to land after a suspected bird strike. Wash Park was the closest and safest spot to land.
There was no damage to the helicopter.
