BOULDER, Colo. - A 17-year-old boy was seriously injured after he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene early Sunday morning in Boulder.

Police said the victim was transported to a local hospital. His condition wasn't released.

The accident happened at approximately 1 a.m. on Sunday in the 4200 block of Monroe Drive. Police said the vehicle was a silver or white sedan.

Anyone with information is asked to call Boulder police at 303-441-3333.

Police are also searching for a driver who hit a bicyclist at approximately 5 p.m. on Wednesday near Linden and Wonderland Hill, northwest of Boulder. The victim, Bill Cox, 56, shattered his hip and has a few broken bones. He was released from the hospital Saturday night.

"His hip was just destroyed," the victim's wife, Linda Cox, said. "His ankle was, too, so he's all held together with pins, bolts and rods, everything like that from the hip down."

The suspect may have been driving a white SUV or truck.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Colorado State Patrol at 303-239-4501.
