Sentencing Delayed In Windsor Abduction Hoax Case
GREELEY, Colo. (AP) — The sentencing of a 21-year-old Fort Collins woman convicted of lying about being kidnapped and raped by a former co-worker has been delayed until next month.
Katherine Elizabeth Bennett was scheduled to be sentenced on Friday in Greeley but that was delayed until Nov. 24.
A jury found her guilty in August of attempting to influence a public servant and two counts of tampering with evidence.
Last November, she accused 25-year-old Dustin Toth of luring her to a Safeway parking lot in Windsor and then abducting, drugging and sexually assaulting her. However, investigators say her story changed several times and that she deleted a text message proving the initial report was false.

Toth was arrested because of the allegations. He says he nearly lost his military career as a result.
