Dog, Cat Rescued From Burning Home In Highlands Ranch

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (CBS4) – No one was injured in a house fire that caused a lot of damage in Highland Ranch Thursday afternoon.

Units from Littleton Fire Rescue and South Metro Fire Rescue responded to the fire at a home located in the 5200 block of Ashbrook Circle just after 1 p.m.

Nobody was home at the time of the fire but a dog and cat were rescued by firefighters and taken for treatment.

Crews had the fire under control after at approximately 2 p.m. but the home sustained significant damage to the garage, the second floor and a vehicle in the garage, according to Littleton Fire Rescue.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
