Guilty Plea In Deadly Shooting Of Denver Teen
DENVER (CBS4)- A man accused in connection with the shooting death of a 13-year-old in Denver last summer has pleaded guilty.
Marquise Lewis pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in Denver District Court on Thursday.
Lewis, 21, will face up to 40 years in prison when he is sentenced on Dec. 5.
Lewis and co-defendant Lonnie White were involved in an altercation in the 4600 block of Eugene Way on Aug. 30, 2013.
They got into a car and a short time later Lewis, who was driving, gave White an assault rifle and told him to shoot out the window of the car as they were driving in the 4700 block of Enid Way.
Reysean Abram was struck by the gunfire and was killed.
White, who was charged as an adult, pleaded guilty earlier this year to second-degree murder and has been sentenced to 40 years in prison.
