Surveillance Video Shows SUV Striking 2 Adults, Toddler

DENVER (CBS4) - Surveillance video from a car dealership shows an SUV knocking down three people, including a toddler, while they walked down a sidewalk in southwest Denver on Wednesday night.

A dark-colored SUV that police believe may be a Jeep stuck the three victims shortly before 10 p.m. near Morrison Road and Stuart Street and then fled. All are expected to be OK. The video showed a male adult assisting the other adult victim who was on the ground.

Denver police are asking anyone with information or who have spotted a vehicle with damage that might have resulted from the accident to call police. The SUV was last seen traveling west on Morrison Road toward Sheridan Boulevard.

Business owners in the area said the intersection is dangerous and that cars drive too fast. They frequently see accidents there, they said.

"Our building has been hit over a dozen times over the years," business owner Candie Tsuchiya said. "Finally we put up caissons as a way to protect."
