More Farms, Stables Under Quarantine Due To Virus
DENVER (CBS4) – Ninety-six farms and stables are now under quarantine due to a virus affecting horses and cows in Colorado.
Vesicular stomatitis is mostly affecting farms and stables in Larimer County.
The virus is painful to livestock and treating it is expensive for the animals' owners.
More than 200 farms once under quarantine this summer have been cleared of the virus.
