Boulder Police Search For Whole Foods Purse Snatcher

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Boulder are searching for a man who snatched a purse from a woman in the Whole Food's parking lot.

The suspect approached the victim on a bike as she was about to enter the middle doors at the Whole Foods located at 2905 Pearl St. on Sept. 25 about 7:45 a.m.

He grabbed her purse and demanded that she give it to him. After a brief struggle he got the purse away from her and ran south across Pearl Street towards the Target store. He left his bicycle behind.

A male witness chased the suspect and caught up to him near the front of the Target store. He was able to retrieve the purse. The suspect took off running southbound from 2800 Pearl Street.

The suspect is described as a white male, 25-32 years old, about 5-foot-8, thin, 150-155 pounds, pale looking with a skinny face and short, dark hair, possibly a buzz cut with scruffy facial hair. He was wearing a gray or dark-colored hoodie with a zipper, baggy, khaki-colored pants and tennis shoes.

A composite sketch of the suspect is attached. Anyone with information about the suspect or the incident is asked to contact Detective Kurt Foster at 303-441-4329.
