Trade Center memorial at Quantico
This is in the main Ctr courtyard at Quantico. The materials were taken from each site- the Pentagon, United Flight 93 and the World Trade Center. You also see the state of Pennsylvania carved into the towers and the site where the plane went down. This one single event changed the mission of the FBI - Prevent future terrorist attacks in this country.

Former Aurora Chief At Quantico

FBI Headquarters
Today, Thursday Oct 2nd, 2014 it's the FBI Headquarters Briefing and Tour; all day. Very few pics allowed inside.

Crime Lab
Every test conducted by the FBI is impacted by the FBI Worldwide Crime Lab. Crime lab created in 1932. The new crime lab was built in 2003. There are separate exhaust systems for labs and office personnel housed in bldg. No interior pictures were allowed.
The FBI receives 10,000 cases a year. One case can fill an entire 2000 sq ft room depending on the amount of evidence.

Nuclear DNA Unit (DNA from mom & dad)
Mitochondrial DNA Unit (passed on DNA/siblings/ relatives; used when nuclear is too old or not avail)
DNA Rape Kit Unit (Natl Inst of Justice sending rape kits to help w/backlogs)
Latent Prints Opns Unit (cold cases, major crimes, mass disasters)
Chemical Unit (product tampering; breakdown of bath salts)
Documents Units (handwriting, watermarks, tire treads, fake memorabilia)
Firearms & Toolmarks Unit (firearms ID, serial #, gunshot residue)

Quantico Training Facility
This is a fully functioning main street for agents training at the Quantico Training Facility. It includes a drug store with drugs on shelves; a post office with post office boxes; a bank that's called Bank of Hogan, considered to be the most robbed bank in America; a hotel with beds; a hardware store with tools on shelves; a bar with pool tables and a used car lot with real cars. Official entrance on to the training facility grounds.

FBI Headquarters
These were the only exterior pics allowed of FBI Headquarters. However, here's what's coming down the pike for the largest federal law enforcement agency in the nation, possibly the world ~ (More than 10,000 associated with headquarters; 5,000 employees work in the bldg). Relocating to a new facility in 5-6 years; narrowed to 3 locations (1 in Maryland and 2 in Virginia); new location can't be anymore than a mile and a half from metro and mile and a half from the beltway.
