Teen Guilty Of Murdering Fort Carson Soldier And His Pregnant Wife
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – A Colorado Springs teenager accused of killing a Fort Carson soldier and his pregnant wife and been found guilty.
Macyo January, who was 17 years old at the time of the murders, could go to prison for life.
It took jurors 4 hours on Tuesday to find January, now 18, guilty of killing Staff Sgt. David Dunlap and his wife Whitney.
Prosecutors say January was in the process of burglarizing the home when the couple came home and surprised him.
The Dunlaps were expecting their first child and had only moved into their home a few months before they were killed. David Dunlap was a native of Moorpark, Calif., according to the Army.
