'Recycled Rides' Program Gives Vet New Wheels In Littleton

LITTLETON, Colo. (CBS4) - An auto body shop in Littleton gave a U.S. Army veteran a refurbished car on Wednesday as part of a program that provides vehicles to people in need.

The program is called "Recycled Rides."

Richard Conley, who joined the Army at 17 in 1965, has been battling a series of medical issues, including cancer and liver disease.

The car, Conley said, will give him more pain-free time. "I do suffer a lot when I walk to and from the bus stop. (The car) gives you a lot of independence."

Caliber Collision plans on giving more than 20 vehicles this year to military members and first responders.
