New On CBS Primetime, 'Scorpion'

Inspired by a true story, "Scorpion" is a high-octane drama about eccentric genius Walter O'Brien and his team of brilliant socially awkward misfits who comprise the last line of defense against complex, high-tech threats of the modern age.

As Homeland Security's new think tank, O'Brien's "Scorpion" pulls together their collective technological knowledge to solve mind-boggling predicaments. These nerdy masterminds have found the perfect job and a place to apply their unusual brilliance all while learning how to fit in together.

"I don't remember the moment I found out it was real, but I do remember getting the email for my audition and being like 'Scorpion geniuses taking over the world? Alright, sure, whatever.' And then I read it and was like 'Oh, that was actually entertaining,'" said star Eddie Kaye Thomas, "The furthest thing from my mind was that this could possibly be true."

"Scorpion" stars, Elyes Gable as mastermind Walter O'Brian, Eddie Kaye Thomas as Toby Curtis, an expert behaviorist who can read anyone; Jadyn Wong as Happy Quinn, a mechanical prodigy; Aru Stidham as Sylvester Dodd, a statistics guru; Robert Patrick as federal agent Cabe Gallo, and Katharine McPhee as Paige Dineen the mother of a young gifted son.

Watch the series premiere of "Scorpion" on CBS4 on Monday, Sept. 22 at 8pm.
