Rockies Release 2015 Schedule, Cubs In Town For Home Opener

DENVER (CBS4) — The Colorado Rockies have announced their 2015 full 162-game schedule and will open up the season on the road against the Milwaukee Brewers for a three-game series on April 6-8.

The Rockies home opener will be held on Friday, April 10 at 2:10 p.m. against the Chicago Cubs. Their following 25 games will against National League West division teams.

The club faces all five American League West teams during interleague play and will play the usual 19 games against each of their four National League West division rivals.

The Rockies wrap up the season on the road with a three-game series against the San Francisco Giants Sept. 2-4.

The annual fireworks shows are scheduled for May 22 after the game against the Giants, July 10 after the game against the Braves, and September 25, after the game against the Dodgers. Colorado will head to their home-opener opponent's confines, Wrigley Field, on July 27-29 followed by a three-game series in St. Louis, July 30-August 1. The Rockies welcome the Cardinals to Coors Field, June 8-10. Other series of note include a four-game home series against Atlanta, July 9-12, which includes the previously mentioned fireworks show, and a three-game set hosting the New York Mets, August 21-23.
