BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A Denver man is accused of drug and weapons charges in the North Dakota oil patch.

Jesse James Jackson is charged in federal court with distribution of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm in relation to a drug trafficking crime.

Jackson allegedly told authorities he moved five pounds of meth from Denver to the Dickinson area between May 2012 and February 2013.

Jackson is currently jailed in Sterling. His original appearance and arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 15 in Bismarck.

Court documents do not list a lawyer for Jackson.
