Mountain Lion Removed From Lakewood Neighborhood
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - A mountain lion wandered too close to a Lakewood neighborhood Tuesday morning.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers tranquilized the cougar after a neighbor spotted the animal sleeping in a tree on Amherst Way off Morrison Road. The man's dog starting barking at the mountain lion.
Wildlife officials tagged the young female mountain lion and moved her west of town.
