COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – A list of possible targets for al Qaeda includes the Air Force Academy for a possible attack known as a “lone wolf.”

The report is in an al Qaeda online magazine called Al-Malahem Media, and an English language blog called the Insite Blog on Terrorism and Extremism featured more details.

CBS4 partner KKTV reported that the magazine provides instructions on how to make a bomb and it glorifies the actions of the Boston Marathon bombers and other terrorists.

Air Force Academy officials say they know they are on the list and remain vigilant and aware of existing and new threats. It released the following statement:

We are aware that the Air Force Academy is mentioned in a recent online publication. We remain vigilant and maintain all the appropriate protocols of a military installation to include force protection and being cognizant of existing and emerging threats. Our primary concern is always the security and the safety of the cadets, our personnel and the thousands of visitors who come to USAFA every year.

The list also included Las Vegas casinos and other tourist destinations.
