Semi Driver Cited In Crash That Led To I-25 Closure
LOVELAND, Colo. (CBS4) - The northbound lanes of Interstate 25 are closed at the Highway 402 exit in Larimer County after a semi crash.
The truck somehow crashed on the overpass at approximately 4:45 a.m. and afterwards it was hanging off the bridge over the Interstate and leaking fuel.
Highway 402 was also closed.
Officials say the closure was estimated to last until about 10 a.m.
The driver received a citation for careless driving.
Traffic was being diverted off and then back on the highway using the 402 exit ramps, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Interstate 25 was also closed heading northbound for about two hours in the Denver metro area early Tuesday morning.
Two were hurt in a crash involving a tractor trailer near the intersection with Interstate 70.
