Man Found Dead During SWAT Situation In Larimer County
LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – The Larimer County Sheriff's Office was involved in a SWAT situation Sunday afternoon that ended when a man was found dead.
According to Lt. Andy Josey, deputies responded to a home on Larimer County Road 54E and Filter Plant Road in unincorporated Larimer County after neighbors reported possible shots fired at a home.
A 58-year-old man who lived alone in the home recently left a long-term job and may be have been distraught.
"Due to the possibility that shots had been fired, sheriff's personnel are utilizing a team of investigators, negotiators, and members of Patrol and SWAT to attempt contact as safely as possible,"Josey said in a statement.
Authorities eventually were able to get in the home where the found the man dead.
