DENVER (CBS4)– The start of construction work at Denver International Airport could be a major hassle for travelers and people dropping and picking up passengers.
East Level 6 of the parking garage closes at 10 p.m. Friday which closes half of the passenger drop off area until Sunday at 4 a.m.
Travelers will need to go to the west side of the parking structure of use Level 4, which has a height restriction of eight feet.
During the construction Level 4 will be both the pickup and drop off level. The change is expected to cause some traffic backups.
The new DIA hotel is expected to open by Thanksgiving 2015 so the cone zones and construction will continue over the next 15 months.
