Home Under Construction Vandalized In Erie

ERIE, Colo. (CBS4)- Vandals broke into a home that was under construction and caused a lot of damage. Now police want to find out who did it.

The suspects forced entry into the home in the 200 block of Meadow View Parkway in the Candlelight Ridge neighborhood in Erie in the middle of the night.

They destroyed the hardwood floor, punched holes in the drywall, ripped tile off the back splash, and spilled lacquer and stain in the basement, causing thousands of dollars in damage.

Police believe the destruction was caused sometime between the evening of Aug. 15 and the morning of Aug. 18.

The home builder told police he had no idea who would vandalize the home or why.

The home is a custom-built, high-end model.
