New Sex Assault Allegations Against Massage Therapist

BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – There are new possible victims in the investigation of a massage therapist who police say attacked a client.

According to the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, Gregory Mingchiu Ching, 54, was arrested on July 30 and charged with sexual assault and detectives are now looking into some new accusations. Police released information about his arrest on Tuesday.

Detectives suspected there were other victims, and already in the past 24 hours they got the names of at least three other women who may have been sexually assaulted during a massage.

The sheriff's department says Ching runs the Aspen Meadows Aquatic Center out of his home in Boulder Canyon. They say he gives massages in his pool, and that's where one woman says she was sexually assaulted in the water while receiving a massage for recent injuries.

"He actually took her towards the middle of the pool. She was in fear that she was going to drown," Don Dillard with the Boulder County Sheriff's Department said. "So she just kind of didn't fight."

The home is far from neighbors, which is why detectives say women have had nowhere to run.

There are new reports coming in that Ching was actually professionally reprimanded for inappropriate contact during massages as far back at 2007.

Ching may also have a business where he sells greenhouse construction materials out of his home. When CBS4 went by the house someone inside quickly pulled down the shades and did not want to talk.

Detectives are urging any other victims to come forward by contacting the Boulder County Sheriff's Department.

Additional Information From The Boulder County Sheriff's Office

The Sheriff's Office believes our current victim may not be the first person who has been victimized by Gregory Ching. If you have information about previous assaults, we would like to speak with you. Please contact Detective Don Dillard at 303-441-4992.
