Motorcyclist Dies In Crash With Center Median Fence
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- A motorcyclist died after crashing into a center median fence in Lakewood.
Police in Lakewood rushed to the crash about 7:38 p.m. on Highway 285 at S. Kipling Parkway.
Investigators said the motorcyclist, identified as Isreal Woodruff of Morrison, was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed when he lost control and crashed into the center median fence. Woodruff, 33, died on scene.
Several witnesses saw the motorcyclist and told police he was going at least 100 mph. No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
Highway 285 was shut down for several hours in both directions between S. Simms Street and S. Kipling Parkway during accident investigation and cleanup.
