Popular Manitou Incline Trail At Base Of Pikes Peak Closes For Repairs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - The Manitou Incline has closed for renovations.
The popular mile-long hiking trail at the the base of Pikes Peak needs major repairs. It has been damaged by erosion from hikers.
Crews will spend the next four months replacing retaining walls, cleaning up loose debris and stabilizing the slopes.
The trail closed on Monday morning. It will be closed through December.
The Manitou Incline has 2,741 steps.
