Training Tip: Setting A Goal Sets A Course For Running

DENVER (CBS4) The Rock ‘n’ Roll Denver Marathon & ½ Marathon is 10 weeks away and there is still time to train for one of the many events. The event offers a 5K, 10k, ½ marathon, and full-marathon options, so there is something for every skill level.

Two-time Olympian Alan Culpepper suggests that now is the time to set a goal by signing up for an event to train for.

“Just trusting that you will get out there and put the miles in for your general health and fitness sounds good but does not usually translate to consistency,” Culpepper told CBS4’s Tom Mustin.

Having an event that you sign up for and commit to will help you keep your motivation.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Denver Marathon & ½ Marathon is Sunday, October 19th at 7:15am in Civic Center Park.
