Tanker Spills Mag Chloride At I-70 Frisco Exit

FRISCO, Colo. (CBS4)– A tanker hauling magnesium chloride tipped over at the Frisco exit to Interstate 70, spilling the chemical.

The semi tipped about 8 a.m. on the Frisco exit roundabout.

What caused the tanker to tip over is being investigated but the Colorado State Patrol said it appears the driver may have been going too fast for the roundabout and lost his load.

The exit remained closed for more than six hours during the accident investigation and cleanup. The roundabout reopened at 2:30 p.m.
