Man Convicted Of Posing As Doctor To Sexually Assault Child
CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) — An Arapahoe County jury has convicted a man of posing as an immigration doctor to sexually assault a 9-year-old Vietnamese girl nearly four years ago.
The jury on Thursday found 57-year-old Kenneth Dean Lee guilty of kidnapping, burglary, impersonation and sex assault on a child.
Prosecutors say Lee called the girl's Aurora home repeatedly from a blocked number, saying he was a doctor with an immigration facility who needed to give her an exam. Authorities say he showed up unannounced and assaulted the girl in October 2010.
The victim's phone records helped police track down Lee, who was on probation for an identity theft case.
District Attorney George Brauchler says the case was one of the most disturbing he has ever seen.
