Police Searching For Suspect In Armed Robbery Of Dollar Store
FEDERAL HEIGHTS, Colo. (CBS4) - Police are looking for a man who they say held a woman hostage while trying to rob a Dollar Tree store early Monday in this north Denver suburb.
Two women who work at the store at 84th Avenue and Pecos Street were leaving when a man wielding a shotgun demanded one of them return to the store for money. She called police while inside.
The suspect fled in a stolen Jeep Cherokee, police said, before crashing it across the street near a Walgreens. He then left on foot.
The women were not injured.
Police said the suspect was wearing black clothing.
