“Upon further investigation firefighters found active fire in multiple walls and between floors of the building. Holes were cut in floors and walls to gain access to fire spreading within void spaces,” Poudre Fire Authority said in a statement. “After a lengthy attack firefighters were able to find and extinguish all hidden fire.”

Crews kept the fire from spreading to the building next door.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
