Coach Mac Thinks Buffs Have More Talent, Depth This Year

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - The Denver Broncos aren't the only team in camp. The University of Colorado Buffaloes started their second fall training camp under head coach Mike MacIntyre on Saturday.

The Buffs haven't had a winning season since 2005 and they're looking to change that this year.

MacIntyre thinks this year's team has more talent and more depth, so hopefully they'll be more competitive.

"It's always good to have competition in anything you do in life. If you've got somebody breathing down your neck it motivates you," MacIntyre said. "Also it's good too in football, people get injured, different things happen, the next guy has to step up and by ready, so the competition level accelerates everything."

The Buffs open the season against the Colorado State University Rams in the Rocky Mountain Showdown on Aug. 29 at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
