Town Of Victor Under Boil Order After Fire At Historic Building
VICTOR, Colo. (CBS4) - A boil order is in place for residents of Victor and nearby Goldfield in Teller County because of a fire at a historic building.
City officials say firefighters had to run untreated water from the reservoir through the water system to fight the fire at the Mining Union Hall, which broke out at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Saturday.
It took crews nearly 4 hours to put the fire out. Nobody was injured.
The boil order will remain in place until the untreated water can be flushed from the system.
Bottled water donated by Walmart and the Teller County Office of Emergency Management can be picked up in front of the fire house and City Hall in Victor.
