ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)– Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning says he misses the fans and Broncos owner Pat Bowlen at training camp.
Manning says he misses practicing in front of the fans and the energy they provide.
He also misses seeing Bowlen on the sidelines. Manning said Bowlen was a big reason that he chose the Broncos. The news of Bowlen’s battle with Alzheimer’s struck Manning pretty hard.
“Sad announcement for anybody that’s affiliated with the Denver Broncos and that fact that Mr. Bowlen is not going to be in that same role out here at practice, in the building, every single day,” said Manning. “I feel honored to be the quarterback for Mr. Bowlen’s team.”
