DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)– Drivers caught weaving in and out of the new direct lane on Interstate 25 could face some trouble.
Police officers will be out enforcing the rules of the lane that’s designed to keep traffic moving.
On Monday, the Colorado Department of Transportation launched a new program that designates a single lane for southbound traffic along I-25 from Dry Creek Road past Lincoln Avenue to Ridgegate Parkway.
The lane is separated from other lanes of traffic by a painted double white line.
The goal is to help reduce congestion and keep traffic moving.
