Charges Filed Against Jefferson County Sex Assault Suspect

DENVER (CBS4) - Prosecutors filed charges on Monday against a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman he met through a dating website.

Michael David Miller, 28, faces one count of sexual assault.

An arrest affidavit from July 2 describes an encounter between Miller and an unidentified woman on May 30 that ended with non-consensual sex.

Since Miller's arrest, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said it had received more calls from women who claimed to have met Miller through websites. According to the affidavit, the Denver sheriff's office interviewed two other women who claimed Miller assaulted them.

The victim said she met Miller on the dating website "OK Cupid." According to the arrest affidavit, Miller was meeting women on other dating sites, including Craigslist. Miller was arrested in Aurora in early July after one of his alleged victims in Golden went to a hospital and authorities were called.

The sheriff's office said Miller was charged with sexual assault in 2010 in Aurora, but that charge was dismissed.

Law enforcement has asked anyone with information related to the investigation to call Michalene Parreco at 303-271-5623.
