Fire Breaks Out At Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)– The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo will open after a fire at the gift shop early this morning.

Firefighters in Colorado Springs rushed to the zoo about 7:30 a.m.

The fire was contained to the gift shop. It took just 12 minutes for crews to get the fire under control.

None of the animals were in danger from the fire. .

What caused the fire is being investigated.

The gift shop will remain closed on Friday but the rest of the zoo will be open to visitors.
