MOFFAT COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)– A tractor that fell through a suspension bridge nearly a week ago has finally been removed.
The bridge is in the Browns Park Wildlife Refuge and gives access to recreation areas. It’s rated for about three tons while the tractor actually weighs between 10 and 13 tons.
The rancher had to complete a lot of work to shore up the boards on the bridge to get the tractor moving along to the other side.
The bridge will remain closed until engineers can inspect it and make additional repairs.
