Sinkhole Closes S. Simms St. In Jefferson County
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- A large sinkhole has closed South Simms Street to traffic in Jefferson County.
The sinkhole is in the middle of the road on S. Simms St. between Cooper Ave. and S. Ward Street. The sinkhole measures 20 feet by 20 feet and is about 20 feet deep.
The sinkhole appeared just before noon. What caused the sinkhole is being investigated before repairs get underway.
The Jeffco Sheriff's Office has not said when the road may reopen or when repairs will be completed.
