DENVER (CBS4) – A 9-year-old autistic boy was found safe after quite a scare for his family.

The boy was reported missing just north of Interstate 70 near Chambers Road about 5 a.m. on Monday. About 2 hours later police found him 5 miles away in Aurora near Potomac Street and Hoffman Boulevard.

Police say the boy had left his home on his scooter. He was okay and reunited with his family.
