A combination of new and returning series promises to make this one of CBS’ best summer seasons yet.
Under The Dome
One of last summer’s biggest hits is back for a second season on Monday, June 30 at 9 p.m.. The series, which follows a town that’s been encapsulated in a giant, clear dome, is based on a Stephen King novel of the same name, and with King himself penning the second season’s opener, this will be a premiere to look out for; just see for yourself below.
CBS also announced this week that it will air an exclusive one-hour look back special titled, “Under The Dome: Inside Chester’s Mill” on Monday, June 23 at 9 p.m. ahead of the season two premiere. So if you can’t get enough of the residents in Chester’s Mill, you don’t want to miss it.
Halle Berry is making a splash this summer on the CBS drama “Extant” where the Oscar-winning actress will play Molly Woods, an astronaut who returns home inexplicably pregnant after a year in space alone.
The Steven Spielberg-produced sci-fi series will explore elements of artificial intelligence, humanity, and family. The series premieres Wednesday, July 9 at 8 p.m., but until then, check out the heart-stopping preview below.
Starting Wednesday, June 25 at 7 p.m., “Big Brother” returns for its 16th season. Hosted by Julie Chen the ultimate reality show will follow a new group of strangers as they stay in a house under 24/7 video and audio surveillance for the world to see. Judging from the trailer, expect challenges and tension as House Guests vote each other off in the hopes of winning the grand cash prize.
“Unforgettable” is back for a third season on Sunday, June 29 at 9 p.m. The series depicts a detective who has hyperthymesia, a condition in which she visually remembers anything and everything. With a strong following, and it’s not hard to understand how. Catch up on the latest with the clip below.
“Reckless,” another new show on the CBS primetime schedule, also premieres on Sunday, June 29 at 8 p.m. The police drama explores what happens when two lawyers must cover up their mutual attraction to each other in the midst of a police scandal. The preview below promises heat and drama from actors Cam Gigandet and Anna Wood.
