GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - Searchers haven't been able to find a rafter who was apparently swept away in the Colorado River.

Ctormy Taylor, 23, disappeared Monday night after his raft got wrapped around a bridge in Grand Junction. Two friends who were with him were able to swim to the bank of the river. The Mesa County Sheriff's Office says Taylor was last seen trying to swim to the river bank just past where the Colorado and Gunnison rivers meet.

Searchers looked along the river for Taylor all day Tuesday but sheriff's spokeswoman Heather Benjamin said Wednesday that the search is being scaled back. A boat will drive up and down the river once a day looking for Taylor.
