Hundreds Gather For Memorial Day At Fort Logan
DENVER (AP/CBS4) - Hundreds of people paid tribute to service members who died serving their country at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
Among those who participated in Monday's Memorial Day ceremony were Gov. John Hickenlooper, U.S. Sen. Mark Udall and a representative of the Veterans Health Administration from Washington, D.C., Dr. Robert L. Jesse.

"One in 10 Coloradans, at one time or another, have fought for our country," Hickenlooper said.
"They went wherever their country asked them to go because they love freedom more than they love themselves," Udall said.
The ceremony featured a rifle salute to fallen veterans.
"I have been coming out here since 1967," Korean War veteran Lyle Carter said.
"You've got to do it, you've got to remember," World War II veteran Quenton Allen said.
There are 17 memorials at the cemetery in Denver, most commemorating soldiers who fought 20th century wars.
