Body Found In Pitkin County
PITKIN COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – Authorities found a body in rural Pitkin County south of Emma near Basalt on Friday.
At around 3 p.m. the Pitkin County Sheriff's Office was notified of the discovery of a body.
The body was discovered by a local man on an all-terrain vehicle who then called police.
The area was secured by deputies and the body of the deceased female was removed by the coroner's office.
Authorities are now investigating the cause of death, the sheriff's office is not calling the death suspicious.
