“I needed to get myself together and I needed to really think I about what I really need to do to win this fight,” Alvarado said. “I had to do a lot of soul searching … and it’s helped out, everything fell into place at the right time. So it’s been great timing, everything is going good, everything worked out the way it needed to. So now I’m ready.”

The fight airs live on HBO this Saturday with a fight time of 8:15 p.m.
