Longmont Teens With Criminal Past Involved In Accidental Shooting

LONGMONT, Colo. (CBS4) - The same pair of teenagers who police caught breaking into cars this winter in Longmont are in trouble again.

David Williamson, 18, and a juvenile were arrested this weekend for allegedly stealing guns from a neighbor's home.

Police say the two took the guns back to Williamson's home where the younger one accidentally shot one of his friends with one of the guns.

The victim was shot in the backside. He was taken to Hospital and is now at home recovering.

"They broke into a house, stole two guns and came back to Mr. Williamson's house; and the juvenile arrestee pulled out a gun and was manipulating it and it discharged into their friend," Sgt. Matt Cage with Longmont police said.

This past February Williamson and the same juvenile allegedly broke into several cars and stole phones and cash. Tracks in the snow led police to the suspects.
