Former Denver Mayor Wellington Webb Released From Hospital

DENVER (CBS4)– Former Denver Mayor Wellington Webb was released from the hospital Friday afternoon after he was admitted on Thursday after lunch.

Webb was being treated for dehydration. He and his wife, Wilma, were having lunch with a number of guests on Thursday when he became ill and was transported to Denver Health.

Webb was evaluated and treated. He was released on Friday afternoon.

Webb was the first African American Mayor of Denver serving for 12 years, from 1991 to 2003.
