Man Caught On Camera Stealing Luggage From DIA Sentenced To Probation

DENVER (CBS4)– A judge has sentenced a man who was caught on camera stealing luggage from Denver International Airport to probation.

Police in Denver tracked down John Papelbon after a woman spotted some of her stolen items being sold online.

Papelbon, of Thornton, faced felony theft and burglary charges. He pleaded guilty.

Police found multiple bags that had been stolen from DIA passengers.

Among the bags he stole one belonged to singer Peter Frampton.

Papelbon said he took the bags after he was laid off twice in one year.
